Red Cross of Montenegro sent humanitarian assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina

With the goal of alleviating the consequences of floods that affected Bosnia and Herzegovina on 5 November 2021, and acting upon the request from the Red Cross Society of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Red Cross of Montenegro sent humanitarian assistance to this country, in the total value of 9,300.00 euros.

Relief items for the affected population of Bosnia and Herzegovina consist of ready to go meals (beans), boots, blankets and raincoats.

The floods affected 23 Municipalities in BiH and 6 municipalities were seriously affected. Municipality Konjic was completely cut off. The infrastructure is quite damaged while 500 persons from 4 Municipalities were evacuated. Many households are damaged.

The Red Cross Society of Bosnia and Herzegovina estimates that some 10.000 persons are affected and this figure is changing on a daily basis.

Red Cross of Montenegro remains at disposal for further participation in the activities for alleviating the consequences of floods in BiH.
