The Global Route-Based Migration Program
Around the world, people on the move – migrants, refugees, asylum seekers and other displaced persons – embark on dangerous and difficult journeys in search of safety or a better life. Many face life-threatening risks, including violence, exploitation and barriers to accessing basic services such as food, water, shelter and health services.

The Global Route-Based Migration Program was launched to address this challenge, bringing together the strength of RCRC humanitarian network to provide essential life-saving support and advocate for the safety and dignity of people on the move.

The project includes a set of activities aimed at strengthening humanitarian assistance and protection of migrants in Montenegro. Key activities include deploying a team to reception centers to assist with medical examinations, medical counseling and medication distribution, particularly where resources are limited. In addition, mobile teams are consisted of staff and volunteers provide basic services such as food, water, hygiene kits, clothing, first aid, psychosocial support, referrals and restoring family links (RFL).

Support to the local community,

Support during integration and inclusion through organizing workshops and helping to access systems,

Building the capacity of the national society through trainings for staff and volunteers,

International and institutional cooperation.

Duration of the project: until the end of 2026.
